Sarah Parker Searles

Sarah Parker Searles is a partner at Williams Chartered, P.A., based out of Gainesville, Florida. Her practice focuses primarily on first party property and construction defect matters, but with over 10 years of experience in the insurance defense world, she brings with her a breadth of experience that assists her in the analysis and handling of a variety of legal matters. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Searles worked for some of the largest law firms in Florida, specializing in first party property, personal injury protection and worker’s compensation defense.


Ms. Searles understands that the attorney-client relationship is one built upon extensive trust, and accordingly takes great pride in her relationships with her clients. She prides herself on taking a client-centered approach in her handling of litigation, always striving for the most effective and efficient ways to attain the client’s goal.

Ms. Searles has presented at many continuing education courses on various topics of insurance defense, including most recently at the Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee Conference, where she presented on topics relating to insurance fraud. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar.


She obtained her J.D. from the University of Florida with honors, where she focused her course studies on a variety of negotiation, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution courses. She obtained her bachelor’s degree cum laude from Pepperdine University in California, where she studied theatre. In her free time, you’ll find her trying out one of the many great ‘foodie’ spots or exploring the various hiking trails in Gainesville with her husband and son.

  • ARBITRATION VICTORY FOR LARGE, MULTI-STATE CARRIER

    Successfully represented a carrier in a first party property case, resulting in a zero dollar arbitration award for a windstorm claim in Broward County, Florida.

  • DEFENSE OF FEES SOUGHT AGAINST THE FLORIDA INSURANCE GUARANTEE ASSOCIATION

    Successfully defended against statutorily prohibited fees sought against FIGA pursuant to an agreement with the insolvent carrier.

  • DISMISSALS OBTAINED FOR INVALID ASSIGNMENT OF BENEFITS

    Motions to Dismiss granted in multiple counties throughout Florida, on the basis that the assignment of benefits by which Plaintiff brought suit was invalid.

  • SUMMARY JUDGMENT ON BEHALF OF CARRIER

    Obtained summary judgment in Broward County on the basis of prejudice to the carrier for a late report windstorm claim.
